Ronda Rousey isn’t pulling her punches with the body shamers! In a surprising new interivew, the UFC fighter said, ‘I swear to God, if anyone calls me fat one more time in my life, I’m going to kill them.’ Take note, haters!
Ronda Rousey, 28, isn’t just a UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion, she’s also a confident, stunning woman looking to take on the haters and change the public’s perception of healthy body types for women. The body shamers better be running for cover because this undefeated fighter is coming for you!
This feisty champ found overnight stardom when she became the first UFC Women’s Champion and she’s using her new-found celebrity to challenge all the haters who are body shaming famous women. “If I can represent that body type of women that isn’t represented so much in media, then I’d be happy to do that,” Ronda told the NY Times.
And Rousey fever is just getting started! The mixed martial artist covered ESPN’s nude issue and heated up the pages of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2015. And if that isn’t impressive, Ronda is headed to Hollywood! After playing herself in the Entourage movie, Ronda is slated to star in a remake of the Patrick Swayze classic Road House.
Clearly Ronda is fearless and doesn’t hesitate to share her opinion on the way womens’ images are contorted by media. “When women say that going on publications directed at men is somehow demeaning, I don’t think that’s true. I think that’s one really effective way to change the societal standard women are held to,” Ronda said.
What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Can Ronda put the body shamers in their place? Vote in our poll and tell us how you feel.
