Lea Michele looks amazing on the cover of ‘Marie Claire’ as she opens up about finding happiness after the death of her boyfriend, Cory Monteith. See the photos and read on for more from Lea.
Glee may be long gone, but Lea Michele, 29, is back on the small screen, starring in one of our favorite new fall shows — Scream Queens! To go along with her new gig, Lea has a stunning new cover shoot for Marie Claire, where she candidly opened up about body image and the struggles she dealt with, very publicly, when her then-boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith, died of a drug overdose.
“Getting to the other side takes a lot of work. All you can do is get to the other side. It’s a struggle. When you do, there is happiness there. It’s important to me to keep private some of that process with how I got here. But I am here, I am good, and I am very grateful for that,” she said when asked about how she moved forward after Cory’s tragic, untimely death.
Lea discussed learning to navigate fame — and the misconceptions that come along with it. “Everybody thinks you’re a star with roses being dropped at your feet. You have to take some fucking punches. Now I have my groove…I am much more aware. I also don’t care as much. I am very content with me,” she said.
The star also opened up about her favorite body part. “I love my butt. It is a showstopper.”
