As soon as Lamar Odom’s longtime friend Kobe Bryant heard the news that Lamar was found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada on Oct. 13 and he raced to the hospital after his Lakers game against the Sacramento Kings.
Lamar Odom, 35, is surrounded by family and friends while he’s fighting for his life. The former NBA star was found laying face down and unconscious in his room at the Love Ranch in Pahrump, Nevada. Eyewitnesses on the scene claim that Lamar had “fluid coming out of his mouth” and he was then raced to two different hospitals. Along with Kobe Bryant, Lamar has an “inconsolable” Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner by his side.
We told you that Lamar was partying for several days at Dennis Hof‘s infamous Love Ranch. He arrived there on Oct. 10, alone and according to Dennis, Lamar was drinking cognac and taking an herbal substitute for Viagra. Lamar was last seen at 6am that morning and was found unconscious around 3pm. Once he was raced to the hospital, doctors intubated him because he couldn’t breathe on his own.
NYE Count Sherriff’s Office released the following statement to HollywoodLife.com:
At approximately 3:15 pm on October 13, 2015, a call came into the Nye County Dispatch Center from Richard Hunter, Media Director for Dennis Hof’s Bunny Ranch, requesting an ambulance for an unresponsive male experiencing a medical emergency at the Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada, approximately twenty miles north of Pahrump, Nevada in Nye County. An ambulance from Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Service arrived at 3:34 pm and the patient, identified as Lamar Odom was stabilized and transported to Desert View Hospital arriving at 4:16 pm. Nye County Sheriff’s Office Detectives Cory Fowles and Michael Eisenloffel arrived and conducted an investigation on scene.
After being treated by the physicians, arrangements were made to transport him by Mercy Air helicopter. However, Mr. Odom was unable to be transported by air due to his stature. He was immediately transported by Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Ambulance to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada for further treatment.
We also spoke to Lamar’s father, Joe Odom, who tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that he believes his son was drugged. “Somebody drugged my son. There’s no way he’s down there partying crazy like that. No way. I knew something was wrong because I’ve been calling him all day and he hasn’t been answering. I’m depressed right now — this is messed up! What can I do right now? That’s my son. I’m really hurt right now. This is the first time I’m hearing about it. Let’s give this some time. I pray that he will come out of this. I need all his fans to send him well wishes. If Khloe knows anything about this, please, tell her to call me. We all love Lamar and want him to pull through this.”
HollywoodLifers, our thoughts and prayers are with Lamar right now.
