It’s official, Ariana Grande has gone blonde (at least for the cover of her new single). The singer hinted at a major hair makeover earlier this week before revealing her lightened up locks on October 14.
Ariana Grande, 22, may be back to her usual half ponytail style for the single art for “Focus,” but she made a major color change with platinum blonde hair. Though the single doesn’t come out until October 30, Ari’s been teasing lyrics and even the cover art since last week, this latest pic has us more excited than ever.
In case you missed it, on October 13 we shared Ariana’s blurred pic of her “Focus” cover art, and even though the shot was out of focus, it was clear Ari had gone blonde. Plus, her hairstylist, Dalina Rebollo, revealed the most telling clue — a single white bobby pin — to her Instagram.
While Ari’s cover art completely took us by surprise, perhaps all of her recent, smaller hair changes should have clued us in. Though her color was always dark, she’s been sporting every style imaginable from sleek and straight to natural curls and even a Spice Girls-inspired mini buns look.
Ariana Grande’s Hair For ‘Focus’ — Blonde Hair Makeover
But if the blonde is just too major of a change for you, fear not. Since the cover art was probably shot long before Ari began teasing it, it’s safe to say that since she’s posted Instagram pics of herself with brown hair just this week, the blonde hair in question is just a wig. Plus, her makeup artist Daniel Chinchilla kept her makeup the same with a nude lip and dramatic cat eye.
What do you think of Ariana’s blonde hair, HollywoodLifers? Do you hope she makes it a permanent look?
