T.I. is apologizing for slamming Hillary Clinton in a recent interview where he claimed a woman should never be president because they would be too ’emotional.’ He says he was ‘insensitive’ and is really sorry. Do you buy it?
T.I. is eating his words. The 35-year-old rapper told DJ Whoo Kid during The Whoolywood Shuffle on Shade 45 that he doesn’t support Hillary Clinton, 67, running for POTUS because women make “rash” decisions. Yikes! But now he claims that he realizes his comments were “wrong” and he’s sorry.
It took T.I. a few hours but he finally apologized for his controversial comments on Oct. 13 on his Twitter account:
My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong. I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended.

“Not to be sexist,” he said. “I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman. Just because — every other position that exists, a woman could do well. But, the president? I just know that women make rash decisions, emotionally. They make permanent, cemented decisions, and then later — it’s kind of like it didn’t happen or they didn’t mean for it to happen.” Although we are glad that T.I. is recognizing his ridiculous comments we still think what he said can’t be that easily forgotten. “[A woman president wouldn’t] be able to negotiate the right kinds of foreign policy. The world ain’t ready yet. I think you might be able to get the Loch Ness Monster elected [before a woman.]”
We really hope that he’s truly sorry because his comments set such a bad example for his over six million Twitter followers. So many people look up to him, including his own children. We hope he leads by example and doesn’t say such stupid things next time because a female president would be amazing!
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of his apology?
