NBC may not want him on ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ but Donald Trump apparently still has the right to host ‘Saturday Night Live!’
Apparently if someone makes fun of you enough, you want to join them. That seems to be the case for Donald Trump! NBC announced on Oct. 13 that the ex-Celebrity Apprentice host will be hosting Saturday Night Live on Nov. 7. This marks the second hosting gig for Trump on SNL — his last was in April 2004.
We can assume that Donald, 69, may take a swing at the other presidential hopefuls during his hosting gig. On the premiere of SNL, Hillary Clinton guest-starred and joined Kate McKinnon to do a serious mock of Donald. When Kate, playing Hillary started talking at a bar about Donald, Hillary spun around and totally impersonated Donald’s voice, asking, “Isn’t he the one that says, ‘Uh, you’re all losers.’”
While we all laughed hysterically (as did Kate) at that, Donald wasn’t so amused. He retweeted a tweet that a fan sent him, writing, “@scottferson: .@TaranKillam plays a way better fake @realDonaldTrump than a real @HillaryClinton plays herself @nbcsnl.” Well if it wasn’t good, I don’t know why we were cracking up so hard. .
Regardless, the cast of SNL has been looking forward to this season to make Trump jokes, so it’ll be interesting to see how they approach him as a host. ” I don’t want him to win, but I want him to stick around so we can do more sh-t. It’s insane. He’s literally like a giant child,” Pete Davidson told HollywoodLife.com at an event recently. “I can’t believe what’s going on. His hair looks really soft. I’ll give him that. It’s real. I love that [Jimmy Fallon] did that, like it was a magic trick. It was like, ‘All right, step right up, have you ever met me before?’ It was weird.”
Well, let’s hope Pete touches his hair when he’s host. Are you excited to see Trump host? Let us know.
