“He would make up little songs for her and perform them for her on Skype,” the insider revealed EXCLUSIVELY to HollywoodLife.com. “And if they were both in LA, he’d come over and order in her favorite foods from all the most expensive restaurants in Beverly Hills!” It’s so wonderful of Justin to comfort Selena during that difficult time. The “Revival” songstress kept that secret to herself and her group of confidents for quite sometime.
Now that the world knows about Selena’s medical problem, she’s relieved. “Selena is relieved to have finally got her secret battle with lupus off her chest,” a source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She hopes by bringing more light to the disease, she’ll be able to help others identify the symptoms that are associated with it. And that even someone as famous as her can get struck down with something so unfortunate.”
Why Selena Needed Chemotherapy To Treat Her Lupus
When Selena took a break from her tour in 2013, it was said that she needed time to deal with Lupus and her breakup from Justin. A couple of months after she announced her break, Selena went to rehab to deal with her emotions and troubles with her ex. However, it wasn’t until about a year later the world was given the real reason why Selena went to rehab — she was going through chemotherapy for Lupus. “Treatment for lupus varies from patient to patient,” Dr. Bonnie Bermas, M.D., the director of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Lupus Center EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife.com. “Some patients, depending on their manifestations, can be treated with chemotherapy either by pill form or intravenously.” We’re glad Selena is feeling much better!
