This needs to happen. Bryan Cranston is totally game to be a Marvel villain, but the ‘Breaking Bad’ star has one major request. Marvel writers, the ball is in your court.
Bryan Cranston, 59, has yet to grace our movie screens as an epic villain that will go down in history like Walter White. Honestly, it’s kind of a travesty. The Breaking Bad actor revealed that he wants to be a “nasty” Marvel villain, but he needs one important thing to happen.
“You know what I’d like to do? I’d like to do some big superhero villain in some Marvel classic,” Bryan told Metro UK. He doesn’t want to play a villain like the Green Goblin or Ultron. No, he wants something super original. “Create one from scratch… I don’t know what I would do but it would be nasty.”
Bryan’s had practice in evil territory playing the wicked Walter White on Breaking Bad, so we’re pretty sure he could pull it off. We would love to see him face off against Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth or Robert Downey Jr.
Marvel just unveiled their Phase 3 plans for upcoming movies, with many of the movies planning to be released as far away as 2020. That’s more than enough time for the writers to create a devilish role specifically for Bryan, right? We don’t think that’s too much to ask.
Bryan won one Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe for his role as Walter White. Since the show ended in 2013, Bryan has gone on to have a role on the Crackle show SuperMansion (watch the first three episodes HERE!) and guest star on How I Met Your Mother. He’s also made a big splash on the big screen with roles in Godzilla, Get A Job, In Dubious Battle and Kung Fu Panda 3.
HollywoodLifers, would you rather see Bryan as a Marvel hero or a villain? Let us know!
