Aw! Remember when Taylor Swift lost the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2014 to Daft Punk? Well, even though the ‘Wildest Dreams’ singer took the loss with dignity at the show, she admitted that afterwards, she cried and indulged in some junk food!
Poor Taylor Swift, 25. When the singer’s Red album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2014 Grammys, she was certain she would take the award home. Unfortunately, she lost it to Daft Punk and it really hurt her. Taylor dealt with the loss like any normal person would with a break up! She cried and stuffed her face with some yummy In-N-Out.

“I remember not going to afterparties,” the 1989 singer said. “I went home and I cried a little bit, and I got In-N-Out Burger and ate a lot.” The 25-year-old basically poured her heart and soul into her Red album, so we understand why she would be so upset. Not to mention that the Grammy announcer totally tricked her by dragging out the name of Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories.
We imagine Taylor looked like her good friend Emma Stone, 26, after that depressing loss:
Total cop out! “When they announced the Album of the Year winner it was like, ‘And the album of the year goes to … Reeeeeandom Access Memories, Daft Punk!’ And they really dragged out the ‘reeee,” Taylor recalled the sad memory and told Grammy Pro about that night. “And for a second there, I kind of thought we had it, and we didn’t.” So sad!
Taylor Got Her Hopes Up About ‘Red’ Winning Album Of The Year
Apparently Taylor got her hopes up after so many people went up to her during the show with positive encouragements. The singer remembered, “Going up to it, everybody comes up to you and they’re like, ‘Oh, you got this, you’re gonna win, you’re gonna win,’ and I wish they wouldn’t do that because you don’t know if you’re gonna win — and someone else could very well win — and someone else very well did.”
HollywoodLifers, were you shocked that Taylor didn’t win a Grammy for Red?
