“Hey Boston zoo, sorry I can’t make it to the @jamn945 show on 10/20,” the rapper said on his Twitter account Oct. 9. He was referring to an upcoming show at JAM’N 94.5’s concert in Lowell, MA. “Doc says I can’t travel that far yet. Hope to see you soon!!” he added.
His injuries have already forced him to pull out of an Oct. 3 show at Orlando, Florida radio station Power 95.3’s concert. He also won’t be able to perform this weekend at the Echostage in Washington D.C. Oct. 11.
Fetty — whose real name is Willie Maxwell II — also had to cancel a BBC Radio’s 1Xtra Live show in Leeds, England, on Oct. 17. “Unfortunately Fetty Wap will not be able to perform at 1Xtra Live in Leeds following his recent accident, and we are really sorry for all the fans who were looking forward to seeing him perform live,” organizers of the event said in a statement. “Everyone at 1Xtra wishes him a speedy recovery.”
The rapper released the following statement in an Instagram video the day after the crash: “I appreciate all my fans for praying for me. Had a little accident, but I’m straight. I broke my leg in three places, but I’m gonna be alright. I really appreciate y’all, for real, though.” Heal up, Fetty! Your fans will be waiting when you’ve recovered from your scary injury.
