After weeks of teasing, the new ‘Pretty Little Liars’ opening sequence, debuting in season 6B, is finally here! There are major changes you have to see. Click to WATCH now!
Pretty Little Liars is changing things up in season 6B, and one of the first orders of business is the opening title sequence! The new sequence is totally awesome and features someone new a.k.a. Alison DiLaurentis (Sasha Pieterse)!
The music is the same, the beginning is the same, but then we get a look at all five girls as they stare at a coffin. Yep, there’s Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Alison, Aria (Lucy Hale) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario).
Whose coffin are they looking down at? Could “A” a.k.a. CeCe (Vanessa Ray) be dead? Or is it someone new? We can hardly wait for the season 6B premiere!
We’re accustomed to seeing Aria do the “Shh” at the end, but PLL wants to share the love now. In this video, first posted by E! Online, Emily gets the honor. Creator Marlene King posted a photo from the video shoot on Oct. 2 featuring all of the girls.
Back in Sept. 2015, Marlene also revealed that Emily won’t be the final girl we see in each opening sequence. “Fun new intro when we come back in January. Everyone gets a turn to shhh,” Marlene tweeted to a fan.
One of the other big changes for the show is the time jump. Pretty Little Liars will jump five years forward when the show picks up in January 2016. The girls look very different, but the drama remains the same. We still have a lot of questions after the season 6A finale, and we’re pretty sure we’ll have a lot more once season 6B rolls around.
