Evan Peters wasn’t a part of the star-studded premiere of ‘AHS: Hotel’ on Oct. 7, but he’s not lying low for long. His character, Mr. March, will make his big debut in episode two, and Ryan Murphy revealed in an all-new interview that Evan’s character is the ‘worst human being.’
For those of you (like myself) who have fallen in love with Evan Peters’ characters over the past four seasons of American Horror Story, you might find it really hard to do so in season five. He’s definitely not a “tortured good guy” in AHS: Hotel but a bonafide “bad guy.” We’re not ready. Here’s the scoop on his character!
“Episode two takes you deeper into the mythology of the characters and you get to meet some more people. You get to meet Mr. March who is Evan Peters,” Ryan told Entertainment Weekly. “I think this is Evan’s best role we’ve ever done. Usually Evan is the tortured good guy or the tortured ingénue. But this year we decided to go a very different route and just make him perhaps the worst human being to have ever lived.”
Whoa. Tate Langdon did some pretty awful stuff in season one, so what Mr. March does must be even worse. “He’s the bad guy and you get to really meet him and how he built the hotel. It’s loosely inspired by HH Holmes and that hotel of horrors he made,” Ryan continued.
No one on AHS: Hotel seems to be completely pure and good. Everyone seems to have a dark side. Looking at you, Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer and Sarah Paulson. But it looks like Mr. March is the worst of the worst.
Honestly, we’re ready to see Evan tackle this kind of sinister role. Honestly, Evan is so likable and just has a way of portraying his characters that we’ll probably fall in love with Mr. March anyway.
American Horror Story: Hotel airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
