Now that she’s called off her engagement to Lenny Santiago, Adrienne Bailon is officially back on the market. But what does that mean for her and Rob Kardashian? The singer addressed the possibility of a rekindled romance with her ex-boyfriend in a new interview and her answer may just surprise you!
Adrienne Bailon, 31, may be a single lady once again, but does that mean she’s ready to rekindle her relationship with former flame Rob Kardashian? The singer, who revealed back in September that she and longtime boyfriend Lenny Santiago had called off their engagement, addressed the romance rumors claiming she and the KUWTK star have gotten back together. Here’s what she had to say!
“I think he’s a great guy and I always wish him well, but the rumors are going to go crazy,” the Real co-host told reporters at the Latina magazine Hot List party on Tuesday night at The London West Hollywood, adding to fans’ speculation, “it is what it is.”
Well, she didn’t flat out say no, but unfortunately, it doesn’t sound like Adrienne really has any intention of reconciling with the reality star either. In fact, the former Cheetah Girl admits that a new relationship is just about the farthest thing from her mind these days. For now, she said, “I am taking time for myself. I kind of called it my Eat, Pray, Love journey. I went to Paris to study fashion, photography, and French language. I just kind of had a self discovery thing, and I’m still on that journey. I’m having a good time.”
As you might recall, Adrienne and Rob famously dated for two years before calling off their romance in 2009 after reports of Rob’s infidelity surfaced. Though the two went their separate ways, the drama soon resurfaced in 2014 after Adrienne made some disparaging remarks about the Kardashian clan in the September 2014 issue of Latina magazine. “To be stuck with that Kardashian label, that was so hurtful to me and to my career,” Adrienne told the publication. “I probably realized that too late—not that it would’ve affected my decisions in terms of who I dated, but it would’ve affected my decision to appear on the show. At the time, I didn’t think anyone would even care. To this day, people will still say, ‘You ruined Rob’s life!’ and I’ll think, Damn, I was still playing with Barbie dolls when I met him.”
After receiving backlash from Rob and his famous sisters on social media, the singer/actress eventually apologized for remarks, claiming, “I never meant any harm with anything I said. I think they’re amazing people. For me, I just didn’t want to be known as anyone’s girlfriend. I wanted to be known for the hard work I’ve been doing since I was 15 years old.”
What do you think HollywoodLifers — should Adrienne and Rob get back together?
