Sometimes you have awkward encounters with your friends, right? Well for these four friends, every day’s another one and another one. From hiring a porn star as a nanny, to the question if white people are allowed to sing the N-word, ‘Truth Be Told’ has something for everyone. Watch an exclusive preview here.
Mitch (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) and (Vanessa Lachey) are neighbors and BFFs with Russell (Tone Bell) and Angie (Bresha Webb) — and the four of them could not be different. Luckily, NBC is diving into those “grey” areas that real friends encounter every day in Truth Be Told. We could try to describe it, or we could just show you a sneak peek.
“We can pretty much talk about everything and have a frankness about it, and not get offended,” Mark-Paul, 41, says in the preview right before we see a scene shows that their family didn’t actually hire a princess, but instead a stripper dressed as a princess for their kid’s birthday party. Whoops.
The show also tackles the specifics of a relationship. For instance, Angie’s ex boyfriend starts texting her and Russell gets jealous, and even reads her phone while she’s in the shower. “Anything that comes up around our relationship, sex, race, religion, we just, as friends, deal with it together,” Bresha says in the video. Basically, these are all issues that people in every day life talk about on a regular basis.
Trust me, this show will have you laughing out loud, and always thinking, ‘that has happened to me!’ Watch an exclusive first look below:
