Most memorable year is always the most emotional night on ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ and on the Oct. 5 episode, we saw a new, softer side of Nick Carter, who revealed he would have ended up in jail or dead if the Backstreet Boys hadn’t saved his life.
Dancing with the Stars tugged at our heartstrings more than ever before on Oct. 5, as the contestants revealed their emotional past. Nick Carter‘s story was particularly moving, and he broke down in tears while revealing his struggles growing up.
Nick’s most memorable year was 1992, when he met the Backstreet Boys (). Nick’s bandmates were interviewed for the dramatic package, and AJ McLean and Brian Littrell recalled about meeting Nick when he was just 12 years old. Nick revealed that his family was dysfunctional growing up, and that all he wanted was a “movie mom and dad.”
AJ said that most of Nick’s friends from childhood are now dead or in jail and Nick revealed that the “boys saved my life.” Watch his emotional confession:
Nick and pro partner Sharna Burgess danced an amazing Jazz to “Backstreet’s Back” with 300 fans in the “audience!” It was totally awesome and had some signature BSB dance moves in the performance!
“Sharna, every girl who was a a fan of the backstreet boys wants to be you right now! You were good when you were in the Backstreet Boys but you are far superior now!” judge Carrie Ann Inaba said. Julianne Hough said it was “hot, hot, hot!” and made a sign that said “I <3 Nick!” Bruno Tonioli called it a “mega sexy, mega hit!”
