Things are heating up between the Biebs and 1D. “Niall and Justin are betting on whose album will have a more successful release,” an insider tells us. “Niall along with the other guys, and Justin will continue to take jabs at each other for having the same release day, but for the most part they are playing it up and having fun. Their bet includes something fun, kind of like a dare that the loser will have to do.” Sigh, boys. Why does everything have to be a competition? Can’t we love you both?

They may claim that it’s all in fun but, JB didn’t sound too happy when discussing the shared drop date in a recent interview. “[They’re] not really going on the road much, but we’re talking about them now, so it gives them some promo, right,” the “Baby” singer told a New Zealand radio station. “So, that’s probably why they did it. I think it was strategy on their part because my release date was first. But, whatever. It’s whatever. It’s gonna be fun. I’m excited to see what happens.” The shade is REAL.
