Ouch. Ashton Kutcher and his acting skills just got badly dissed! During a press conference for his new film ‘Steve Jobs,’ leading man Michael Fassbender shaded the actor who last played the big role, Ashton Kutcher!
It’s no secret that Ashton Kutcher‘s 2013 film Jobs was a major flop and now it’s Michael Fassbender‘s turn to take a jab at the huge role in the already buzzing 2015 film Steve Jobs. While promoting the new film at the New York Film Festival on October 3, Michael was asked what he did to prepare for such an epic role and his answer totally shaded poor Ashton! See exactly what he said.
“I studied Ashton Kutcher,” Michael said when asked how he prepared for the role. That’s quite the dig if you ask us! Changing the subject, Michael went on to explain how his appearance worried him going into the role.
“Obviously, I don’t look anything like Steve Jobs,” he explained. That was the first thing that I said to (director Danny Boyle). ‘Well, you know, Christian Bale looks a lot more like Steve Jobs.’ He was like, ‘I’m not interested in that. I just want to get the energy and essence of the man and go with that.’ So, from the beginning, the approach was just not to try and emulate that look or copy that look. Basically, the only thing I did was put in brown contacts.”
It wasn’t long before Michael really felt comfortable playing Steve. “I remember sometime during Act 3, Michael saying to me, ‘I really feel like him now,'” Micheal’s co-star Kate Winslet added during the press conference. “I remember you really liking that.”
