Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton certainly enjoy teasing each other! During the Oct. 5 episode of ‘The Voice,’ the two had fun mocking each other while battling it out for a contestant. Could this be another sign that their rumored romance isn’t so fictional?!
Perhaps it’s true what they say: “you always tease the ones you love.” They can continue to deny a romantic relationship all they want, but Blake Shelton, 39, and Gwen Stefani, 45, definitely seem to have some friendly-flirty action going on! The two couldn’t help but tease each other as they attempted to win over the same contestant during the Oct. 5 episode of The Voice.
Though the two coaches have denied reports that they are dating, it was hard to ignore their flirty behavior throughout the show on Oct. 5. Gwen and Blake seemed to be having a lot of fun with each other on set, while enjoying a playful banter throughout a lot of the episode. This week, the two found themselves going after the same contestant — Blaine Mitchell — after they both turned around for the country singer. Of course, being the country superstar that he is, Blake had no problem connecting with the rising talent. Gwen wasn’t prepared to give up so easily though, and quickly started mocking Blake by singing a country tune while pulling a goofy face at the star.
Unfortunately for the No Doubt singer, Blaine did eventually choose Blake. Blake, of course, couldn’t resist rubbing the win in Gwen’s face by mimicking the sales pitch she gave Blaine earlier in the show to try to win him over. “I’m in a band with all guys! I surround myself with guys all the time,” he playfully teased her in a high-pitched voice. “I can give something a guy can’t!”
Of course, this is just the latest example of the pair’s ongoing flirty behavior. During the Sept. 29 episode, Gwen complimented the singer, saying, “When you’re sweet, you’re sweet!” Blake was clearly flattered, saying, “That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me.” That sweetness didn’t stop Gwen from throwing her shoe at him though! But don’t worry, it was all in the name of friendly warfare.
As flirty as they may be these days, we have been told that Blake isn’t looking for anything serious with the newly single singer — they’re just really good friends. “Their friendship has blossomed through both their marital issues that they’re dealing with,” a source told HollywoodLife.com. “They are a great support system for each other.”
