What a show-stopping performance! While hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Oct. 3, Miley Cyrus sang two songs, but it was her second performance of ‘Twinkle Song’ that moved us to tears. And we weren’t alone — Miley could barely get through the song without getting emotional.
Miley Cyrus, 22, channeled Lady Gaga while performing “Twinkle Song” on Saturday Night Live Oct. 3. If we had closed our eyes, Miley’s voice could have easily been mistaken as Lady Gaga’s. Anyway, while sitting behind a piano, Miley performed her gut-wrenching song with such vulnerability. It was honestly a moment we’ll never forget.
For her second performance, Miley sat on stage with just her piano, which was covered in what looked to be elaborate streamers and feathers, and sang the crap out of her new song. As the camera zoomed in towards her face, we could see Miley’s eyes fill with tears. We almost thought she wouldn’t get through the song, but alas, our girl made it through! Earlier in the night, Miley dissed fellow artists Ariana Grande, Drake and Meek Mill, performed “Karen Don’t Be Sad,” watched as Hillary Clinton mocked Donald Trump, and appeared in a number of other hilarious skits. If you ask us, it was quite a successful night for Ms. Cyrus.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Did you love Miley’s performance of “Twinkle Song”? Did you love it more than “Karen Don’t Be Sad”? Vote in our poll and tell us how you feel.
