We never knew Hillary Clinton was so funny! During the season premiere episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’ on Oct. 3, the presidential hopeful not only appeared in a skit with Kate McKinnon as ‘Hillary Clinton,’ but she as ‘Val’ mocked Donald Trump! We can’t stop laughing.
It takes a lot to upstage Miley Cyrus, 22, but dang it, if anyone could do it, it’s Hillary Clinton! During Miley’s third outing as host of Saturday Night Live on Oct. 3, Hillary, 67, dropped by 30 Rock for a seriously hilarious cameo, where she starred as a bartender named Val and dissed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Hills, of course, took the stage alongside her impersonator, Kate McKinnon, and it was honestly one for the SNL archives.
When Kate as “Hillary” started talking about her competitor, Donald Trump, Hillary as “Val,” impersonated the former Celebrity Apprentice host’s voice and said, “Isn’t he the one that says, ‘Uh, you’re all losers.'” Immediately after, Kate, who may or may not have broken character, started laughing uncontrollably, and so did we.

It isn’t too surprising that Hill Dog wanted to show off her comedic chops now that the presidential campaign is beginning to heat up. Many of Hillary’s detractors might say her biggest flaw is lacking a sense of humor or being too serious (not sure when that became a flaw in a presidential nominee, but okay), so making a live audience in Studio 8H erupt with laughter is always in Hillary’s best interest.
The appearance came at a pretty big cost to Hillary, though, according to the New York Times, who confirmed the appearance. “In order to appear, Mrs. Clinton turned down the chance to give the keynote address to the influential Human Rights Campaign, the country’s most powerful lesbian and gay rights group, which will allow her to make the debut SNL appearance of her 2016 campaign,” sources told the paper.
Hillary was in great company on the show. Kate, who has portrayed her for two full seasons now, is an adamant supporter of the pantsuit-icon. Kate told the Times that Hillary is “a staunch, passionate lady, and in our culture, unfortunately, there’s something funny about that.” They were fabulous together!
What did you think of Hillary’s appearance, HollywoodLifers? Do you think she has a sense of humor about herself?
