Happy #WorldSmileDay! Every year, the first Friday of October is officially known as World Smile Day, and this year it falls on Oct. 2. See what celebs are joining in the global happiness celebration below!

Seeing a lot of smiles today? Don’t be surprised if you are, because it’s World Smile Day! Celebs are taking to twitter to commemorate the special day, and Real Housewives of New York City‘s Kristen Taekman and Faking It‘s Gregg Sulkin even revealed to EXCLUSIVELY what it means to them!

Considering both Gregg and Kristen have amazing smiles themselves, of course they’re smiling today! Kristen and Gregg are especially excited about World Smile Day, though, because they are celebrity supporters for Smile Train, an organization that helps children born with cleft lip and palates by providing free surgeries. Isn’t that incredible, just like World Smile Day? Kristen certainly agrees!

“I think it’s amazing,” Kristen told EXCLUSIVELY at a Smile Train event in NYC to celebrate World Smile Day. “It’s important to smile no matter what your smile looks like, whether you’re a 100 or a newborn baby.”

Gregg, who hosted the event, revealed to us that he not only thinks it’s always important to smile, but that it also makes people way more appealing! (Take notes, ladies and gents!)

“I love smiling. I think it’s important for people to express their happiness through smiling,” he said. “My parents always taught me to smile. They told me, ‘Smile at people, it doesn’t cost anything,’ A simple smile can change people’s day. A smile on any person makes them suddenly more attractive. Not on the exterior…their interior happiness causing them to smile is the most attractive quality on any single person.”

But Gregg and Kristen aren’t alone in thinking World Smile Day is special — other celebs joined in the grinning celebration on Twitter!
