Jill Zarin Hospitalized Car Crash

Oh no! Jill Zarin was reportedly involved in ‘major car accident’ while driving in New York City on Oct. 2. The ‘Real Housewives of New York’ star was said to have not been wearing her seatbelt and was immediately rushed to the hospital following the horrifying event.

Jill Zarin, 51, was hit by a car on her way to promote her new film, Night of the Wild in New York City on October 2. The Real Housewives of New York star was reportedly unconscious at the scene of the accident, which involved two other vehicles, before being rushed to the hospital. We hope she’s ok!

Jill was driving on the FDR bridge in New York City around 1pm when the “major car accident” occurred, RadarOnline reports. “Jill was in the car with her publicist on her way to promote her film, Night of the Wild, when the driver slammed on the brakes and crashed into a three-car pile up,” a source told the media outlet. Upon arriving to the scene, EMTs found Jill unconscious, and immediately rushed her to the hospital for treatment.

“The car was going about 30 miles an hour, but Jill wasn’t wearing a seatbelt,” another insider added. Thankfully, Jill wasn’t seriously injured, and was able to return to her home in NYC by 3pm that afternoon. The reality star was however, still suffering from back pain and a slight tingling down her spine. “The lesson from all of this is always wear a seatbelt,” she told RadarOnline.

As for her new movie, Jill makes her big-screen debut in the SYFY thriller, Night of the Wild, co-starring Kelly Rutherford. Kelly and Jill play best friends who are trying to keep themselves and their loved ones alive after a large meteor crashes into their quiet town, causing the local dogs to become mysteriously aggressive. The film premieres Oct. 3 at 9pm on the SYFY network.

Update: Jill’s representative gave a statement regarding Jill’s car accident. “Jill was a passenger in a 3 car pileup on the FDR today at approximately 11 a.m. while en route to promote her film Night of the Wild which premieres tomorrow at 9pm on SYFY.  Zarin was rushed by ambulance to the hospital where she was treated for unknown injuries and later released. Zarin is currently at home recuperating and no additional details are available at this time.”

We’re so glad that Jill is recovering and doing OK after the accident. HollywoodLifers, help us send good wishes to Jill at this time.
