Season 11 of ‘Bones’ premiered Oct. 1 with one heck of an episode. There was a moment where everyone questioned whether or not Booth could be dead. The show is back and better than ever, but could this be the last season for David Boreanaz?
Could Bones go on without Booth? David Boreanaz, 46, and Emily Deschanel, 38, are back for the hit show’s eleventh season, which premiered on Oct. 1. Before the season premiere, David admitted that this season is a “great way to wrap the whole series up,” and he thinks it may be “time” to end things after 11 seasons. Say what?!
“For me, personally, I think it’s time. I think that 11 seasons is great,” he told E! Online. “I mean, one season is great! I don’t really count it as seasons but what we’ve given to the show and what we can do, for me it’s great to see the show come to an end and do it the way we want to do it.”
Booth and Brennan have a special place in our hearts after 11 seasons. David revealed that the new season is getting back to what made us all fall in love with the show in the first place. But it’s more than that. “It’s a great way to wrap the whole series up and I’m excited about that,” David told the outlet.
David has teased before that he could be leaving the show. He notoriously tweeted in 2012: “Done. That’s a series wrap for me folks ! #Bones.” In the day and age when no one knows whether a show will get cancelled or renewed, we can understand his tweet.
Well, if this is the last season of Bones or just the last season for David, it’s going to be a roller coaster of emotions. After the season 11 premiere, that’s never been more clear.
Bones airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.
HollywoodLifers, do you think David will leave Bones at the end of season 11? Let us know!
