‘Project Runway’ Recap: JustFab Challenge Leads To A Lackluster Runway

This week the designers are tasked with the JustFab challenge — and whoever wins will have their look produced and sold online. How cool is that? Read on to find out who was in and who was out this week on ‘Project Runway’ and let us know what you think of the results!

The Project Runway pressure is on! The designers head back to school, where each contestant will craft a look for a certain type of girl — and while this seems like an easy challenge, I was surprised with how this episode played out — and I wasn’t alone!

Candice won last week, so she has immunity and she got to assign the categories — and I thought it was awesome that she tried to give the designers who she thought they would want to design for. I love how, for the most part, this group really seems to get along.

This week the judges were all over the place — in fact, they didn’t have highs and lows because they all disagreed so much. This is going to be interesting to say the least. While last week I thought the designers totally surpassed expectations, this week the runway felt quite lackluster.

Ciara was the guest judge for the week — and can we stop for a second and talk about how gorgeous she looks?

While Heidi Klum liked Kelly’s look, the JustFab team said it was a little too junior — and Nina Garcia didn’t like it at all!

“All it needs is a stripper pole — it’s hooker-y,” Zac said of Swapnil’s. Edmond’s red dress wasn’t ground-breaking, but it is something that would easily sell online. The designers needed to keep in mind the fact that they were creating for the JustFab challenge.

When it comes time to decide who to send home, the judges really can’t agree on anything — and I’m sad to see Swapnil is totally in trouble in Zac’s eyes. In the end, it came down to Merline and Laurie, (no surprise there).

Edmond is the winner. It was between him and Ashley — they did both have the most relatable looks.

As for who got sent home, I was shocked that Laurie was the one sent home, because Merline’s time management skills and the way she sews is just not up to the speed of the other designers. I did like her dress for this challenge, (although she missed the mark!), but the construction was terrible.

Do you agree? What did you think of this week’s episode?
