Sorry Zac Efron — Pam Anderson’s not so crazy about the idea of a new ‘Baywatch.’ And by not crazy, I mean she thinks redoing her 1995 movie is a really bad idea.
In a world full of remakes, we’re kind of surprised that Pamela Anderson wouldn’t jump on board, herself! However, she’s definitely sticking to the originals — she is the OG Baywatch babe after all, and no one is going to replace her! So, what’d she have to say about the new remake featuring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron?
“It’s not gonna happen dude,” Pam told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at PETA’s 35th anniversary celebration on Sept. 30. “Good luck with that one!”
Well it is happening — with The Rock and Zac Efron. “It’s BIG. Me and bud @ZacEfron been talkin’ bout this one for a long time. And someone get my baby oil. #RatedR 💪,” Dwayne tweeted in August. Zac retweeted, and added “So stoked brother – baby oil for 2 plz 😎.”
The remake also be directed by Seth Gordon, who also did Horrible Bosses, and Dwayne Johnson will also produce the movie with Dany Garcia. The show Baywatch, ran from 1989 to 2001, with an amazing cast including David Hasslehoff so maybe even though Pam will not be a part, we could get a cameo from the Hoff? We can hope, right?
