Kylie Jenner’s Lip Fillers — Log-Lasting Filler Approved: Juvederm Ultra XC – Hollywood Life

FDA Approves Lip Filler That Lasts A Year — Will Kylie Jenner Do It?

Good news for Kylie Jenner! Juvederm Ultra XC has received FDA approval for lip augmentation, it was announced on October 1 -- and it adds fullness to lips for up to one year! Juvederm has been on the market since 2006, filling in severe lines and wrinkles and Kylie Jenner, 18, has admitted she uses Juvederm to plump her pout. A study found that within 3 months, 79% of subjects showed a "meaningful improvement in lip fullness after treatment [using Juvederm Ultra XC] -- results can still be seen up to one year." To hear more about Kylie Jenner, head over to iTunes and download the latest HollywoodLife podcast for free!

Kylie told The New York Times in September: “I still do Juvéderm for my lips. I go to Dr. Ourian in Beverly Hills. He’s the best, and he’s super natural about it. I was going to somebody before, and it was just looking crazy. I would recommend that anyone who gets it done go for a filler that lasts only two to four months. It’s annoying to keep going back, but you have the option of stopping it.”

Now that this longer-lasting formula is approved, we wonder if she will go for it!

Kylie Jenner’s Lip Fillers — Juvederm Ultra XC Approved

Philippe Schaison, Executive Vice President & President of Allergan Medical, said in a release: “Providing physicians and patients with premium products that allow them to achieve the aesthetic results they want is always our goal. Understanding that the desire with lip augmentation is to achieve a natural-looking and lasting result, we continued our research of JUVEDERM ULTRA XC for the lips. With this approval, JUVEDERM ULTRA XC is now the only filler that is approved to last up to one year in the lips while providing natural-looking results.”

The filler has been approved for adults over 21. Always consult a licensed professional if you are thinking about injecting fillers.
