We already know Kim Kardashian’s having a boy, but since announcing her second pregnancy, fans have been wondering what name she and Kanye West will give their son. The ‘KUWTK’ star actually gushed about one particular name on the ‘Ellen’ show, and now we know why she’s such a fan of it!
Easton West — it has a good ring to it, right? When Kim Kardashian, 34, announced she and Kanye West, 38, would be welcoming a baby boy in late 2015, fans began joking that the reality star and her rapper hubby would likely give their second child another “direction” name, just like North West. South and Easton were thrown around, and while some fans laughed at them, Kim actually likes the idea of Easton. Find out why!
“First off, the name Easton obviously compliments North, but more importantly it has religious significance, which is why Kim loves the name so much. In the Bible, the east represents God’s light. It is the direction that the sun rises, which is symbolic of a new day and beginnings. Kim thinks it’s a powerful and original name. In numerology, the name Easton is a number two, which is associated with peace and beauty,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
We were a bit apprehensive about Easton West, but after learning this new information, we’re now digging it.
Kim also told Ellen DeGeneres, “I do like the name Easton. Easton West. I don’t think my husband likes that name, but I do like it. I don’t think we’ll go another direction. It’s definitely not South, every time someone says South, I just want to roll my eyes.” Technically, if you read Easton West fast, it does sound like a direction name — east and west — but either way, all that matters is whether Kim and Kanye like it. “I do like Easton, but I don’t think Kanye likes Easton, I’m not sure,” she reiterated on the Sept. 30 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Should Kim Kardashian name her son Easton? Do you like the name? Vote in our poll and tell us how you feel!
