It’s going to be an epic battle of album sales between One Direction and Justin Bieber on Nov. 13! The Biebs is finally addressing 1D’s shocking decision to release their album on the same day as him, and his reaction is much different than the apparent shade he threw just days before. Watch here!
Is Justin Bieber, 21, super bummed that One Direction is releasing their album Made In The A.M. on the SAME day he’s set to drop his new record?! The singer seemed to majorly diss the boy band over the subject on Snapchat just a few days ago, but clarified his feelings about the situation during an interview on Sept. 29. Find out what he REALLY thinks! To hear more about Justin Bieber, head over to iTunes and download the latest HollywoodLife podcast for free!
“It doesn’t bother me. No. I’m excited,” he said to his Australian interviewers. “Honestly, Niall [Horan] is one of my good friends. I look forward to listening to their album, too.” But just hours before, Justin seemed to have a different thought about the subject in a Snapchat video.
“The face you make when you come out with an album the same day as Justin Bieber,” he said to the camera before making a totally freaked expression. And Louis Tomlinson, 23, of 1D fired right back on Sept. 30, uploading his own Snapchat saying, “That face you pull when you’re playing the last night at the O2,” and closing with a similar face to the Biebs’.
But, look, as Justin said — he and Niall are great friends, and they’ve hung out enough in the past to prove it. The guys of 1D obviously weren’t paying attention to Justin’s album release date when they, along with their label, decided on theirs, and now, it can just be a case of friendly competition, right?!
“Harry [Styles] and the rest of the guys, including Niall, get along with Justin,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “They saw his Snapchat video about his album release date and they think it’s funny. It’s kind of like an inside joke they have will continue to play off each other. The guys don’t take it as a diss.” See, Louis was likely just fooling around right back to the “What Do You Mean?” singer. All is well here!
