OMG. Jackson and April seem to be on the brink of divorce, as he told her their marriage isn’t worth fighting for on the Oct. 1 episode of ‘Grey’s Anatomy.’ Plus, Bailey struggled on her first day as Chief of Surgery and Meredith got a promotion!
April’s (Sarah Drew) back from the Middle East — with some sort of disease — and she said she’s going to do everything she can to save her marriage with Jackson (Jesse Williams), but unfortunately, it may not be enough. On the Oct. 1 episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Jackson said their marriage may not be worth saving. How dare he!
A lot of changes are happening on Grey’s Anatomy, but not all are good. In fact, while Callie (Sara Ramirez) seems to have met a new woman and Owen and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) keep making out and having fun, Bailey (Chandra Wilson) struggled on her first day as Chief of Surgery and Jackson pretty much told April he’s considering serving her with divorce papers. Why? Because according to him, she’s selfish. Oh, and did we mention April was quarantined because she returned from the Middle East with a nasty rash? It was gross, but the situation finally gave her and Jackson an opportunity to talk about their issues.
“This is the worse of ‘for better or worse,’” she said. “We have to fight.” Even though Jackson isn’t sure there’s anything worth fighting for, April said she’s going to fight for the both of them, and she’s “gonna win!”
In other news, Bailey really struggled on her first day as Chief. In Richard’s (James Pickens, Jr.) opinion, she acted like a drill sergeant instead of being a leader. Even Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) demanded some “respect” from her. Once Bailey realized the error of her ways, however, she promised she’d be “better” on her second day and promoted Meredith to Chief of General Surgery. So some good things happened, but we’re concerned about Jackson and April. They can’t split up. Right?!
