Eminem is back with another fire track and video! In his latest, ‘Phenomenal,’ we see Slim Shady become literally invincible, beating up everyone in his way, while you on the other hand will probably be terrified. So, ya know, watch this immediately!
It wouldn’t be an Eminem music video without extreme violence and terrifying darkness, right? Right. In “Phenomenal,” which Em dropped in full on Oct. 1, we see the platinum rapper break free of medical constraints, going on to become immune to human ailment. Oh, and the song is also beyond sick, of course. It should also be mentioned that the cut has some very not suitable for work lyrics, however, this is an Eminem song we’re talking about here, so you obviously knew that. Take a listen and a look!
The video actually made its worldwide premiere all the way back in July, but finally, we can all feast our eyes and ears on this dopeness.
The music vid could almost be described as a (very) short action movie, when taking into account how much physicality and high pressure fighting is involved. Seriously, so much fighting. Like,if we had a dollar for every person Em punches during this eight-minute feat, we’d all be happy campers.
The song’s violent nature isn’t actually surprising, considering it was featured on the soundtrack for South Paw. That movie, if you recall, starred Jake Gyllenhaal as a wrestler who tragically loses his wife and then, subsequently, everything else, and must fight to get back what he can. Eminem, believe it or not, executive produced the film’s entire soundtrack, which included “Phenomenal” as well as another track from Eminem, “Kings Never Die,” which featured Gwen Stefani.
What do you think of the music video for “Phenomenal”? Do you like to see Em in touch with his anger or is it too violent for you?
