Cathriona White’s mother is absolutely heartbroken and lost for words after her daughter, the girlfriend of Jim Carrey, reportedly committed suicide on Sept. 28. She reportedly has been telling her friends she doesn’t know what to do now. This is absolutely heart wrenching.
We told you that Cathriona White, 30, Jim Carrey‘s on and off girlfriend, was suffering from deep depression at the time she took her own life — but her mother, Brigid White is now telling friends that she’s in complete shock over her death and has no clue how to move on.
“My Cathriona is dead. My Cathriona is dead. Can you believe it? What am I going to do? What am I going to do?,” Brigid has been telling friends, according to DailyMail. Cathriona was discovered on Sept. 28 in her Lod Angeles home by friends, four days after breaking up with Jim Carrey for the second time, according to her reported suicide note.
She sited the 24th as the day of the split, the same day she took to Twitter, writing “Signing off Twitter, I hope I have been a light to my nearest and dearest.”
Cathriona & Jim’s Past With Depression
Following her death, Jim, who dated her on and off for three years, released a heartbreaking statement: “I am shocked and deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt.”
HollywoodLife.com has also learned that Cathriona had been suffering from depression. — something that actually connected her to Jim. “She battled depression for most of her life. In fact it was one of the ways she and Jim connected. When he was up, he would try to help her, when she was up, she’d try to help him, and when they were both in a depressive state they would lean on each other,” a source close to the pair told us. “Sometimes they wouldn’t get out of bed for days at a time and just keep the curtains drawn.”
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cathriona’s friends and family at this devastating time.
