So shocking. Even though Chris Brown was awarded joint custody of his precious daughter, Royalty, he allegedly tested positive for both weed and codeine in a drug test submitted during the custody hearing, a new report claims. To find out what this means for Chris, keep reading!
Despite winning joint physical and legal custody of Royalty, Chris Brown, 26, may have hit a roadblock of sorts during his custody hearing. The “Loyal” singer allegedly tested positive for both weed and codeine in a drug test submitted during the custody hearing, a new report claims. Find out all the details here.
Luckily for Chris, the singer reportedly has prescriptions for both weed and codeine, so it didn’t affect the outcome of the custody hearing, according to TMZ. As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Chris was awarded joint physical and legal custody of Royalty. He’ll also have his 1-year-old 12 days out of the month, and there will be no supervised visitation. Today, Sept. 28, was a good day for Chris Brown — a true victory.
Chris will, however, have to continue paying Nia Guzman $2,500 a month in child support, while also paying her $15,000 in back support. And he’ll reportedly pay for Royalty’s schooling, health insurance, medical bills and nannies, TMZ further claims. And the best news of all? Chris and Nia agreed that the baby’s name is Royalty Brown. She’s now officially a Brown — so cool!
Despite the positive drug test, Chris seems happy with the outcome of the custody hearing. After court, he took to Twitter and wrote, “Court went great today. Glad this all worked out.” Nia is also happy, as she wrote on Instagram: “Sending my thank you to my legal team. I’m so happy with OUR outcome today! #ILoveMyZillahAndRoyalty #ParentsFirstBullshitLast #WeLoveRoyaltly.” Sounds like good news all around!
