Tatiana Maslany plays eight characters on ‘Orphan Black,’ but it still wasn’t enough to get her that long-deserved Best Actress in a Drama Emmy. The wonderful Viola Davis took home the award instead, but that doesn’t change that fact that Tatiana was totally snubbed!
Orphan Black fans everywhere have hoped and prayed that Tatiana Maslany, 29, would finally get some recognition for the hard, and amazing work she does as eight characters. But sadly, Tatiana was snubbed yet again when Viola Davis, 50, won the statuette for How To Get Away With Murder, instead.
Orphan Black showcases the amazing acting abilities of Tatiana, who plays eight clones. They all look different, all act different, and are all, insanely, played by one woman. The fact that she does this each and every episode is a testament to her massive talents. That’s why Orphan Black fans have been so insistent that Tatiana gets what she deserves — an award, for God’s sake!
Tatiana’s snub wasn’t too unexpected; she’s been consistently ignored during awards season for some reason. But fans were hoping so hard that this would be Tatiana’s year! While it didn’t come true for the beauty, it still went to one deserving lady: Viola. The How To Get Away With Murder star had one of the best performances of the year, and we’re definitely happy that she won — even if we are still sad that Tatiana lost. Plus, Viola’s win allowed us to hear that gorgeous acceptance speech. What a silver lining.
Tatiana Maslany Stuns With Sleek & Chic Ponytail At 2015 Emmys
No matter what, Tatiana looked absolutely, positively stunning! As she walked the red carpet before the awards ceremony started, we couldn’t help but stare at this gorgeous woman in her white Bouchra Jarrar Couture pantsuit. With her hair swept back, it was the perfect way to showcase her awesome jeweled earrings and delicate blush-toned makeup. We love everything about this fresh, fun look!
