There’s more ‘Taken’ on the way! A TV series based on the Liam Neeson movies is in the works! The show will follow a young Bryan Mills, who becomes one of the most badass CIA agents in movie history.
If you’re obsessed with the Taken movies, this is going to be the show for you. The new show will be a prequel drama based on the Taken movies, and the show’s already been given a straight-to-series order at NBC. But here’s a question we all need to know: will Liam Neeson, 63, be involved?
The show will be a prequel to the action movies that Liam has starred in, our sister site Deadline reports. The Taken TV series comes from Luc Besson, who’s written the previous films. The show will focus on a young Bryan Mills. At this point in his life, Bryan doesn’t have a wife or kids.
Fans will learn how Bryan learned his exceptional skills and became the gun-toting badass we know and love today. Liam is not reported to be a part of the series at this time. Maybe we can expect a Bradley Cooper-esque cameo like in Limitless?

The logline for the show is pretty familiar for those who’ve seen the movies: “What I do have are a very particular set of skills, skills I have acquired over a very long career; Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you.”
Knowing the success of the Taken movies, the TV series is definitely going to be a hit. The first Taken movie was released in 2008 followed by a sequel in 2012. It became a box office blockbuster. Taken 3 was released in 2015.
