‘Dancing with the Stars’ kicked off on Sept. 14, and I have to say, this is quite a good group of celebs! Pretty much all of them (sorry Kim) have rhythm and while it was tough, I’ve already got some idea of who will make it to the end, and why.
Let me just start by saying I am a little biased as someone whose first concert was the Backstreet Boys. However, Nick Carter completely rocked the stage during the Dancing with the Stars premiere, and even incorporated his own dance moves in on night one. He’s obviously a front runner.
Nick, 35, kicked off rehearsals by telling Sharna Burgess that he was a little insecure when it came to dancing, regardless of his boy band history (and present). Sure, that came off a tiny bit in his moves, but to be honest, he had more potential than anyone — you could tell the rhythm was obviously there, he already has a great sense of musicality, and clearly can move his feet. As long as he engages with Sharna more, which will get easier over time, I can totally see him winning it all. Plus, we know the BSB fan base is a loyal one.
He scored a 24/30, which tied Bindi Irwin for the top score of the night. Here’s a look at a clip of his dance:
My other favorites would have to be Alexa PenaVega (dancing with Mark Ballas) and Carlos PenaVega (dancing with Witney Carson). The couple are competing against each other, but they both support each other. They could absolutely be the final two, and in my opinion, Carlos and Witney did better on night one. However, they need to work on the chemistry. Alexa and Mark have a lot of chemistry, but need a little more practice. Regardless, for night one, both pairs did ridiculously impressive.
I think the only thing that could fault them is being too close to each other — they should be 100 percent focusing on building the relationships with their partner while on the show, and not be worried what the other is doing. I know, easier said than done.
Alright guys, what do you think? Who could you see winning it all? Do you agree with me? Let me know!
