Both Nicki Minaj and Kim Kardashian stunned at the Givenchy NYFW show on Sept. 11, but which beauty was best? Vote below and find out how to copy Nicki’s cat eye and Kim’s sexy bun with expert tips.
Nicki Minaj, 32, and a pregnant Kim Kardashian, 34, had all eyes on them as they showed up to Givenchy’s fashion week show in a tight leopard dress and a lacy, see-through number, respectively. Their beauty looks were both gorgeous. Find out how to copy their hair and makeup below.
Giovanni Vacarro, GLAMSQUAD Creative Director, is giving us the low down on the low bun:
“For a quick, elegant yet edgy look, try a center-parted, slick, low bun. The placement and the part are two key elements to any up style look. Start by prepping hair with a thickening mousse before straightening it. Once hair is perfectly straight, pull strands into a tight, controlled pony. Use an elastic to create a tight base and twist, wrap and pin into a secure bun. Use some gel to keep the hair looking wet and slick throughout the day.”
Nicki Minaj’s Cat Eye At Givenchy — Get The Look
“Start by priming the eye with a neutral toned primer. Continue your prep by naturally sculpting the eye with two tones of shadow. This classic application requires you to add the lighter tone to the lid and a warmer tone in the crease to create depth. For a playful cateye flick, use a thick angled brush and deep charcoal shadow instead of a liquid liner. Use the angled end and a dark charcoal shadow for intensity at the lash line.
Begin by dipping your angled brush into the shadow and lining the top lashline using a tapping motion. Do not drag the angled brush as the result will be too harsh. Only line where lashes naturally grow. Next, stare at yourself straight ahead in a mirror and stamp the wing on the outer corner of your eye perpendicular to your lashes edge. Re-dip your angled brush and connect the wing to the lid. Use your finger to dab any mistakes away and soften the line. The resulting look should be a smudgy-winged liner.”
