Got a secret, can you keep it? Liars everywhere are already expecting major changes to ‘PLL’ when it returns, but did you know we’re also getting a new intro? Whoa!
When Pretty Little Liars returns in January 2016 for the second half of it’s sixth season, lots of things will be different. In fact, creator Marlene King revealed that even the intro to the show will be different! Yes, that’s right — after five and a half seasons of watching Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Aria (Lucy Hale), Hannah (Ashley Benson), and Emily (Shay Mitchell) stand over Alison’s (Sasha Pieterse) dead body, she might actually be sitting up in the intro aired before the new episodes!
This is actually pretty exciting news that no one saw coming. Even after Alison was revealed to be alive and well on Pretty Little Liars, she was still portrayed as the blonde girl in the casket during the opening credits — but that’s finally about to change.
While chatting with dedicated PLL fans on Twitter, Marlene King revealed that we will see our favorite Liars in an all-new opening when season 6B premieres in Jan. 2016. See what she said below, as reported first by our sister site, TV Line:
Fun new intro when we come back in January. Everyone gets a turn to shhh. @almighty_harold

Okay, even though she didn’t reveal the answer to why Aria is the only one going “shhh” in the credits, it’s exciting to know that everyone is going to get their chance to keep a secret this time around. What we can assume that means: Alison will make a (lively) appearance, and maybe the boys — ahem, Ezra, Toby, Caleb — will get a piece of the action, too. After all, they became a huge part of the group in the seasons leading up to A’s big reveal!
