Nicki Minaj, 32, and Miley Cyrus, 22, aren’t known for holding back, and it’s gotten them into some pretty nasty spats right in the public eye. We’ve rounded up a list of the biggest names both singers have feuded with…aside from each other, of course! Miley and Nicki’s fight went down at the Video Music Awards on Aug. 30, when the rapper totally called the show’s host out for having ‘a lot to say’ about her in the press before the show. Nicki — whose album you can buy here — called Miley “this b***h,” and was seen throwing her arms up while mouthing profanities when her mic was silenced. WHOA!

Of course, that’s not the first time the “Anaconda” singer has been at the center of controversy. She famously argued with Mariah Carey on the set of American Idol when they were both judges for the 2013 season. While filming in the fall of 2012, things got heated on set, and the diva singers really went at it. Nicki even stormed off the set after one of their blow-outs! Needless to say, neither star returned for the next season, and they never really settled their beef. “It was like going to work every day in hell with Satan,” Mariah said of her time on the show. Well…that’s one way to put it, I guess?

Nicki also feuded with Taylor before the VMAs. It all began when Nicki complained about not being nominated for Video of the Year at the awards show, and noted, “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated.” The “Wildest Dreams” singer thought this was a direct diss at her, and responded, “I’ve done nothing but love and support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the mean took your spot.” Tay eventually apologized and all was well — which they proved by performing together in the most epic opening ever when the show aired!

Clearly, the 32-year-old is a tough opponent, but even at just 22 years old, Miley is a worthy competitor, because she’s feuded with high-profile stars of her own. She and Selena Gomez, 23, both dated Nick Jonas, 22, when they were teenagers, and it led to an ongoing battle, beginning when Miley and her then-BFF mocked Selena and Demi Lovato in a YouTube video. The pair haven’t been friends since!

One of the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s biggest fights was, interestingly, with Sinead O’Connor, and it all went down on Twitter. The beef started when Sinead penned an open letter to Miley, warning her not “to prostitute” herself. The pair went back and forth plenty of times, and things got realllllly personal.
