Closure, finally! It’s been a tough 24 hours for One Direction fans, after rumors surfaced that the band would be taking a break. Thankfully, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson took to Twitter to clarify what exactly is going on! See their responses here.
Directioners have been on their toes waiting to hear from the boys of One Direction about their rumored “break.” After a report on Aug. 23 claimed that Harry Styles, 21, Niall Horan, 21, Liam Payne, 21, and Louis Tomlinson, 23, would take an extended break after their fifth studio album, Niall and Louis cleared the air for Directioners everywhere so we aren’t left in the dark. Deep breath, and…
“Ok so Lots of rumors going round. We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year,” Niall tweeted, along with: “Don’t worry though, we still have lots we want to achieve ! Can’t wait for you to hear all the new music we have for you and to perform.” Well, that might not be exactly what we wanted to hear, but it sounds like One Direction has every intention of reuniting after their break. Niall also tweeted that the band will be working on new songs as their tour continues. Yay! If you need more reassurance that 1D isn’t splitting up, Louis also took to Twitter to address their break. “Your support is truly indescribable! It’s just a break :) we’re not going anywhere,” Louis wrote, along with “promise” and “don’t worry.”
We have to say, it’s really great to hear this coming from Niall and Louis. One Direction’s longtime producer, Julian Bunetta, revealed in an interview that he isn’t certain the boys would reunite after their break — after all, they will have completed five albums, five tours and a movie all in five years. However, hearing these words from Niall made us feel a whole lot better about the group’s fate.
HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned that just because the band will be taking a break, there is no bad blood between Harry, Niall, Liam and Louis.
“It is not over, they just need a break. They have been non stop and don’t want to breakdown,” a source close to the group told us. “Bad blood is nowhere, they bonded even more after Zayn [Malik] left, they need some normalcy for the time being.” Reports say that the band will break in March 2016, after promoting their fifth album.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Do you believe Niall and Louis that the band isn’t splitting up? Let us know!
