We’ve got some news that’s good for you. Selena Gomez, 23, will be performing at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 30, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned. We’re so excited! Find out more details here.
Selena Gomez, 23, is likely going to wear that dress we like, skin-tight, do her hair up real nice, real nice, and syncopate her skin to our hearts beating when she performs at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 30! That’s right — our girl, Selena, will be rocking the stage when she performs her smash hit, “Good For You.”
Thus far, MTV has been pretty tight-lipped about who will be performing at the big show. We know Miley Cyrus is hosting, and Nick Jonas will perform during the pre-show, but The Weeknd is the only act confirmed to be performing during the actual show. However, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned Selena Gomez will also be performing during the MTV awards show. “Selena is on the list of performers,” a source revealed to us.
We haven’t learned many details at this point, but we’re assuming she’ll sing her massive hit with A$AP Rocky, “Good For You.” But there’s also a chance she’ll perform a new song. If you ask us, we think it’d be the perfect place to reveal something fresh — millions of people will be watching.
This would be Selena’s first venture as a performer at the annual MTV Video Music Awards, so we can imagine she’s just as excited as we are for the performance. In November 2014, she performed “The Heart Wants What It Wants” at the American Music Awards, and it gave us all the feels, so we’re definitely interested to see Selena has up her sleeve for her VMAs performance.
“The show is going to be state of the art, cutting edge and lots of surprises. Expect the unexpected,” our source added. Another source said, Selena and Taylor Swift may even “attempt a live version of the [‘Bad Blood’] video.”
HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Selena Gomez’s rep for comment.
What do YOU think, HollywoodLifers? Are you glad Selena’s performing at the MTV Video Music Awards this year? Vote in our poll and tell us how you feel!
