Yes, you read that right — Kristen Stewart said she’s actually interested in the idea of a ‘Twilight’ reboot. Yes, the first ‘Twilight’ movie only hit theaters in Nov. 2008, but apparently that means it’s time for a reboot?! You have to read this interview.
Kristen Stewart has definitely turned into a serious actor, but hasn’t forgotten where she came from! While promoting her new film with Jesse Eisenberg, American Ultra, the 25-year-old actress was asked about the world of reboots that we now live in. Sure it’s only been seven years since Twilight hit theaters, but they are rebooting Spider-Man just five years later, so hey — it could happen!
Kristen seemed genuinely interested in a Twilight reboot during an interview with Uproxx.com, which kind of surprised us!
“I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in that, and not in a way that felt like an obligation,” Kristen said. “Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time. It’s hard to speak to a five-year period in a few sentences, but I loved doing it. But that doesn’t mean I want to keep doing it. But if other people? Yeah, sure. To be honest with you: I would be interested. I’d be kind of fascinated, but it wouldn’t emotionally affect me one way or the other.”
The movie, inspired from the Stephanie Meyer series, was the first of four — Twilight, New Moon, Breaking Dawn Part I and Part II. The last didn’t hit theaters until 2012, and as you probably know, vampire Bella lived happily ever after.
So, I feel like a reboot would mean a different cast. If it was with the same cast, wouldn’t it just be another film added to the sequel? Right? Either way, would you want to see it, HollywoodLifers?
