Zayn Malik, 22, is not a fan of Perrie Edwards’ new gal pal Taylor Swift! After throwing shade at his ex on Twitter, Zayn went after Taylor next…and it was just after the “Bad Blood” singer showed her allegiance to Perrie by inviting Little Mix to join her on stage in California! Okay, pay attention — this might get a bit confusing! Zayn didn’t write his own message about Taylor, but he did retweet a post that really slammed the 25-year-old. The tweet included quotes from both Taylor and Miley Cyrus, 22, and their different views on sharing their music with the world.
The Taylor quote comes from an interview she did with Time magazine, in which she discusses her decision to pull her music from Spotify because it would hurt music sales. “[People] can still listen to my music if they get it on iTunes,” she explained. “I’m always up for trying something. And I tried it and I didn’t like the way it felt. I think there should be an inherent value placed on art.” Meanwhile, Miley recently admitted to Marie Claire that she wanted to release her next album for free. “I’ve made my money,” she said. “If no one buys my album, cool. It’s fine. I’ve got a house and I’ve got dogs that I love. I don’t need anything else.”
The original tweeter pointed out, “the difference is astounding,” while sharing both quotes. Zayn clearly showed his agreement by retweeting the message, which is very obviously praising Miley for not caring about the monetary value of her work, and shading Taylor for seemingly only caring about the money.
Zayn can say whatever he wants, though, because Perrie and Little Mix are clearly doing well for themselves — they performed with Taylor on Aug. 15, and then had a massive debut at the Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 16. The gals even won the TCA for Choice Music: Breakout Artist!
And don’t forget — Zayn pulled a similar Twitter move over the weekend, when he dissed Little Mix on Twitter, also in the form of a retweet. The message read: “Which is the better single? Retweet — ‘Worth it’ by Fifth Harmony. Favorite — ‘Black Magic’ by Little Mix.” And yep, you guessed it — the former One Direction singer retweeted, showing his support for 5H and totally putting Little Mix down. Yikes!!

UPDATE: Taylor’s boyfriend, Calvin Harris, responded, dissing Zayn in the process. And Zayn came back even hard, calling him a “d***head.”
