Jenna welcomed her second child, Poppy Louise Hager, on Aug. 13 at 9:12 a.m, according to TODAY. That’s right in the middle of the TODAY show! How ironic! Poppy weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. Little Poppy was named after her great-grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush, who was nicknamed “Poppy” as a child. How cute!
Jenna posted a photo of her newborn just after giving birth. Jenna looked absolutely stunning with her new mom glow, and baby Poppy is absolutely beautiful. She captioned the precious photo, “Welcome to the WORLD Poppy Louise Hager–named after my darling Gamps who went by Poppy during his childhood. We are in LOVE.”
Poppy’s middle name is in honor of Jenna and Henry’s grandmothers’ middle names, Louise and Lewis. This is the second grandchild for former President George W. Bush and former First Lady Laura Bush. Jenna announced she was pregnant again in April 2015. Her older daughter helped make the adorable announcement.
Jenna and Henry married in 2008. Jenna was hired by NBC to be a news correspondent in Aug. 2009 for the TODAY show. Jenna revealed on the show that she was going on maternity leave on Aug. 10. The show sent her off with a surprise call from her mother and grandmother.
