Fans were shocked when [SPOILER] was revealed as ‘A’ on ‘Pretty Little Liars’ — especially since an alleged leaked spoiler claimed the masked villain would be Wren, played by Julian Morris. Check out the actor’s funny reaction after the episode aired!
Sorry, guys, but Wren is totally NOT the elusive “A’ on Pretty Little Liars! Most fans were absolutely convinced Julian Morris’ character was the hooded figure after an alleged Production Assistant leaked the reveal in a Reddit AMA, and when the real truth came out on the show’s Aug. 11 episode, Julian took to Twitter to joke about the rumors.
“So, I’m not Charles,” Julian wrote on his social media account. “But I will get up to mischief in #HandofGod. And I promise, Wren will be back before PLL is out.” LOL — clearly Wren was totally aware of all the hype surrounding his character, and used the finale as a perfect opportunity to promote his new television show, Hand Of God. Nice work, buddy!
As most Pretty Little Liars’ fans know by now, it was actually CeCe Drake (Vanessa Ray), who was revealed as “A.” She was born into the DiLaruentis family as a boy named Charles, and eventually sent to Radley Sanitarium after almost drowning his little sister, Alison. There, Charles transitioned into a female, Charlotte, without the knowledge of any of his family members, save for mom, Jessica DiLaurentis.
After Charlotte accidentally knocked out (but thought she killed) Alison with a rock, thinking she was her Radley enemy Bethany Young, Mrs. D. disowned her eldest daughter, and sent her back to Radley. There, CeCe met Mona, who she learned the “A” game from — and so began her attack on the little liars.
What’s To Come On ‘Pretty Little Liars’?
Per Julian’s tweet, we know that Wren will come back to PLL at some point, but there’s a LOT more than just that to look forward to when the show returns in January — and the girls are five years older! HollywoodLife.com caught up with Sasha Pieterse, who plays Alison, and got ALL of the scoop on what’s to come for her character now that her life has changed forever.
“I think it’s kind of unexpected as far as Alison goes because we’ve now seen Alison go through so many different things, and I think it’s kind of the opposite of what you think she would do,” Sasha dished to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “These girls have been through so much, and you kind of would think everyone would want to disappear after this. It’s kind of not the case. She’s had such a weird childhood that she’s kind of in a different mindset. She’s kind of reinvented herself. I think fans are really going to like it. Her appearance has kind of changed. I think just her demeanor is so different in what she’s going through now. It think it’s a really cool change for her.”
And will Alison be able to forgive CeCe? “I think she’s very conflicted,” Sasha added. “It’s not something she really knows the answer to. She’s very confused and hurt, but at the same time, not. It’s one of those situations where theres no real right way to feel.”
Okay, HollywoodLifers, tell us: Are you satisfied with the finale? Or do you think Wren should’ve been A?
