Fans of ‘Pretty Little Liars’ are being rewarded for their insane social media presence! Ahead of the Season 6 summer finale — during which ‘A’ will finally be unmAsked — clues about the identity of our favorite hooded figure are being revealed. Here’s a round-up of what we know so far!
It won’t be long until we FINALLY figure out who “A” is on Pretty Little Liars, but here’s your chance to guess the masked villain’s identity before the reveal is made on the show’s Aug. 11 summer finale! Throughout the day, ABC Family is giving out clues to help us put the pieces together, and we’ve compiled them all right here. Have you guessed who it is yet?! We got our first clue in the early morning of Aug. 11 on Good Morning America, but, unfortunately, it only reiterated something we pretty much already knew: “A” has been in more than five episodes. Considering show creator I. Marlene King has told us we’d be able to figure out the identity of “A” before the finale, it’s not surprising that the person has been in the show on a somewhat regular occasion.
Luckily, ABC Family recognizes how committed PLL fans, and decided to reward the show’s biggest followers for tweeted the hashtag #FaceToFace in the hours leading up to the big reveal. For every 100,00 times the hashtag is tweeted, a new clue is given. Pretty sweet deal, right?! Here’s what else we’ve learned: You will recognize “A” when “A” is revealed … “A” is under the age of 50 … the PLLs have seen “A” unmasked before … “A” has not been in every episode … “A” is not a parent … “A” has many disguises … “A” is not one of the four liars … “A” has lived in Rosewood … “A” has had direct interaction with Ali and all four Liars … “A” has only one helper … “A” is someone whose motives you have questioned … You’ve seen “A” tell a lie before and “A” has done both harm and good to the PLLs. Okay, wow! So it’s definitely someone we’ve seen on the show before! Still nothing too obvious here, but we’ll take anything at this point! Sasha Pieterse Reveals ‘PLL’ Finale Spoilers
Luckily, HollywoodLife.com caught up with Sasha Pieterse, who plays Alison DiLaurentis on the show, and she gave us even more EXCLUSIVE scoop about what we can expect tonight. “Honestly, I think [the] episode is my favorite episode we’ve done so far,” Sasha gushed. “It’s so intricate. There’s all these details. You find out so much. But also, the actor that plays this character is mind-blowing. They did such a good job at portraying all that Marlene [King] and all of our writers wanted. It was just an honor to be in that episode, honestly. Marlene directed it, and I love the direction they’re taking, and it’s basically reinventing our show.”
As for “A’s” identity (remember, “A” is Charles DiLaurentis, Alison’s brother!), Sasha says the reveal will have a bigger impact on her character than any of the other liars. “I think she’s totally freaked out,” she admitted. “It totally blindsides her. This is someone that… I mean, I can’t say too much… This is someone I think Alison would least expect to be ‘A’ and to rock the girls’ world. It’s kind of a betrayal, but at the same time, it’s confusing. It’s going to be interesting to see the way fans react to it. I think they’re going to love it, but it’s not out of the blue either. It’s kind of someone who’s been there, but you would just never think so. And I think this is a really great choice, and it makes so much sense. And the way they’ve written it ties everything together. It’s a really dark story, but it’s also a really touching story. I think the fans aren’t going to know how to feel about it. It’s not like we’ve made this person just to regurgitate everything so everyone gets answers. It’s a really in-depth, heartbreaking story, and I think it’s also nice for our show, as well. It’s not just us trying to give you answers, it’s about telling this remarkable story.”
WOW! So much to look forward to. Keep checking back because we’ll be updating as more clues come in!
