Yikes! Ed Sheeran showed off some pretty interesting ink on his chest on Aug. 11. The red headed singer snapped a pic of a HUGE lion tattoo smack dab in the middle of his chest! Is the tat actually real or is Ed just messing with everyone’s head?
That is one massive piece of ink. Ed Sheeran, 24, shared a selfie with his fans on Aug. 11, but it wasn’t your normal cheesy selfie. He actually showed off this giant, colorful lion tattoo on his chest. Which certainly begs the question, did the singer really endure that much pain for a tattoo or is it fake?
Go big or go home! The fresh piece of ink that Ed debuted on his Instagram is definitely real. While we’re not necessarily sure what caused the 24-year-old to get such a massive tattoo, it looks so painful and Ed definitely echoed our sentiments! “Halfway and ouch,” the red headed singer captioned his tattoo selfie. Ouch indeed! The “Thinking Out Loud” singer should probably be used to the pain though.
Even though Ed is no stranger to tattoos, his arms are covered in them, the singer even had to openly admit this one hurt. A lot. “Lion is courtesy of @kp_est78, who puts up with me complaining about the pain,” Ed wrote on Twitter. The singer would be lion if the tattoo process didn’t hurt at all! But seriously, let’s hope Ed doesn’t have any regrets about the huge tat later on in life because that would suck to remove. So, why exactly did the singer decide to get a huge lion tattoo?
The Meaning Behind Ed’s Lion Tattoo Revealed
It apparently commemorates the fact that Ed sold out all three shows at the Wembley Stadium in July 2015. However, an image of a lion wasn’t the singer’s first choice to commemorate his big career milestone. “Originally I was going to get the floor plan tattooed on my side, but that seemed a bit ridiculous,” Ed told BBC. Instead, the 24-year-old chose a lion that represents the England football team’s logo. “It’s going to hurt.”
HollywoodLifers, what did you think of Ed’s tattoo?
