Here comes the heat. After Kelly Osbourne made a racist comment about the Latino community while attempting to diss Donald Trump, stars are not letting her off the hook so easy! Sherri Shepherd and more stars have put Kelly on full blast following her segment on ‘The View.’
Yikes. Kelly Osbourne, 30, put her foot in her mouth when visiting The View on Aug. 4, making a racist remark about the Latino community in an attempt to slam Donald Trump, 69. While she has apologized for her insensitive remark, former View host Sherri Shepherd, 48, and other stars were deeply bothered by Kelly’s comment! See their reactions here.
Sherri quickly took to Twitter to express her shock by Kelly’s awful comment, which suggested Latinos were only good for cleaning toilets. Sherri wrote: “oooh Lawd @KellyOsbourne latinos can only clean toilets… what are blacks good for? breastfeeding dem babies! Girl what did you just say!”
She followed that up with: “To reduce a ‘latino’ down to only being able2 clean toilets @KellyOsbourne – ask @TheRitaMoreno @CristinaOpina @GloridaEstefan their thoughts.” Oh snap! After cooling off a bit, Sherri decided to give Kelly a break! “Cutting @KellyOsbourne a little slack, bc I’ve done it myself… sometimes isht comes out of your mouth live that you didn’t mean to say.”
Sherri wasn’t the only celeb to be irked by Kelly’s controversial comment. Queen of opinions, rapper, Azealia Banks, 24, couldn’t help but weigh in. “I actually like kelly osbourne but girl …. NOOOOOOONO NO NO NO NO,” she tweeted, while following up with, “The reason why it’s wrong for white people to make any comment on the socio-economic status of any other racial group IS Because the America dream rest on and is supported by a SYSTEMATICALLY OPRESSED UNDERCLASS. It’s always has and always we’ll be.”
LA Dodgers player, Enrique Hernandez also took her comment personally. He tweeted: “Heading to the stadium early so that I can clean the toilets in the clubhouse! Right @KellyOsbourne?”
Meanwhile, Republican TV personality, Larry Elder defended Donald. “So #KellyOsbourne’s comment on Latinos and toilets is NOT racists–‘cuz ‘she didn’t mean it that way.’ But #DonaldTrump’s comment IS racist?’
One person who’s been noticeably silent is Kelly’s former co-host and friend, Giuliana Rancic. When Giuliana stirred up controversy for making a racially insensitive comment about Zendaya‘s hair, Kelly spoke out against Giuliana and ended up leaving Fashion Police.
