Zac Efron Joining One Direction? Watch The Perfect ‘Drag Me Down’ Video

You can bet on it (bet on it, bet on it) -- Zac Efron would make a great One Direction bandmate! If you need proof, check out his amazing 'High School Musical' dances in sync with 1D's hot new single, 'Drag Me Down!' It's perfect. OK, we know that One Direction isn't recruiting a fifth member since Zayn Malik's departure, but if they need one, look no further: Zac Efron is it! After the boy band released their first single without Zayn, 22, fans quickly discovered that Zac's amazing High School Musical dances fit perfectly with the audio of 1D's "Drag Me Down." See it here!

They’re all in this together! Or, they could be, if Zac, 28, joins the band. In the first video, Zac is on the basketball court wearing his Wildcats jersey (oh, how we missed that jersey!) and the music fits into the scene like it actually belonged there in the first place.

If you’re still not sold, behold our personal favorite. We all remember Zac’s soulful ballad “Bet On It” from High School Musical 2, yes? The hair blowing in the wind, the fierce facial expressions, those dance moves?! How perfect does the intensity match with “Drag Me Down?”

We’re still obsessing over 1D’s hot new song, which dropped on July 31. Zac just made us love it that much more! The song has quickly made airwaves, despite having no promotion, and it was the fastest growing song to hit number one on iTunes. Zayn even loved the new song too, as he tweeted his support to his former bandmates while stressing how much he loved the song. Aww! But now that Zayn has signed to RCA, we know he really won’t be coming back. Would anyone else be on board with Zac joining?

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Do you think Zac should join One Direction? Sound off below!
