How does Drake feel about Meek Mill’s diss track? According to Instagram, he thinks the attempt was absolutely hilarious! The rapper uploaded of himself cracking up just after Meek released his new song ‘Wanna Know.’ LOL!
Meek Mill’s attempts at throwing shade are definitely falling flat — at least in Drake’s eyes! The Canadian native wasn’t impressed when his fellow rapper dropped a retaliation diss track, and took to Instagram to share his reaction. Burn!
In “Wanna Know,” which Meek dropped on July 30, he collaborates with Quentin Miller, who has frequently worked on songwriting with Drake in the past. Apparently Drake didn’t find too much of a problem with this, though, because he shared a photo of himself laughing on Instagram as an apparent reaction to the diss attempt.
This-back-and-forth between Drake and Meek has been going on for several days, though. On July 21, Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend took to Twitter to shade Drake, alleging that he uses a ghostwriter to pen his lyrics. At first, the former Degrassi star seemed to not want to get involved, and simply commented, “I singed up for greatness. This comes with it.”
But on July 26, Drake responded in the best way he knows how — with a song! The rapper released “Charged Up,” in which he spits, “Wow, I’m honored that you think this is staged, I’m flattered man, in fact, I’m amazed.” He even takes a low-blow by bringing Nicki into the battle, referencing rumors that they used to hook up before she got together with Meek. “Rumor has it, I either f**ed her or I never could,” he sings. Ouch!
It didn’t end there, either! On July 29, Drake came out with yet another song that references the feud, once again slamming Meek and Nicki’s relationship. “You love her then you gotta get a world tour,” he raps in “Back To Back”. “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour? I know that you gotta be thug for her, that ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more.”
You’re up, Meek! What’s next!? Tell us, HollywoodLifers: What do you think of Drake’s response? Do you think Meek will fire back again?
