Could Donald Trump’s next move involve doing the tango? Should the business tycoon loose the upcoming presidential campaign, ABC is prepared to offer him a spot on ‘Dancing With The Stars!’ Get Hollywood.com’s EXCLUSIVE report here!
Oval office or no oval office, it appears Donald Trump, 69, will have an exciting new gig lined up for him regardless of what happens in the upcoming presidential campaign. Hollywoodlife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that ABC is interested in having the Republication nominee join the show should he lose the GOP bid, and we’ll admit, we’re definitely intrigued!
If there’s one thing that we can all agree on when it comes to Donald Trump, it’s that the man knows how to entertain (in one way or another). Perhaps that’s why ABC is interested in offering the 2016 presidential nominee a spot on an upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars, should he be interested. “‘Dancing With The Stars’ would love Donald Trump to be on the show,” our sources tell us EXCLUSIVELY. “The producers know what a lightning rod that would be, so when his run for the president is finished, they would love for him to join a future season of the show.” When asked to comment on the report ABC replied to HollywoodLife.com saying, “we do not comment on casting rumors.” So, it could still happen then, right?
According to The Donald himself, this may not even be that poposturous of an idea. In an interview with Extra back in 2010, the businessman revealed that not only does he have moves, but he’s likely better than anyone else on the show. “I’m not a bad dancer,” said Donald. “Many people want me to do Dancing with the Stars… I can dance a lot better than most of them, I’ll tell you that. I watch some of them and they’re terrible.” However, when he was asked if he would ever actually consider joining the show he made it clear that he was busy working on his own reality TV endeavor, The Apprentice, at the time. Of course, Donald has since run into a bit of trouble with his show after NBC —the providing network — cut ties with the host following his controversial remarks regarding Mexican immigrants in June 2015.
Meanwhile, Donald continues to find himself being caught up in one controversy after the next, the latest involving a scathing news report concerning his relationship with his ex-wife Ivana Trump, 66. The article, which came out on July 28, claimed that Ivana had accused her former husband of ‘raping’ her when they were married in 1989. After the allegations, which were originally made during the couple’s divorce case and later published in the 1993 book Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump, were brought to light once again in the midst of Donald’s presidential campaign, Ivana made a statement to the media clarifying what she meant at the time, while also showering the former Apprentice host with praise. “I have recently read some comments attributed to me from nearly 30 years ago at a time of very high tension during my divorce from Donald,” she said in a statement. “The story is totally without merit. Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of. I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign. Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible president.” But does she think he’ll make a great DWTS contestant? That’s the real question here after all, isn’t it?
